Play Piano Tonight Review
- Play Piano Tonight Download
- Play Piano Tonight Official Site
Play Piano Tonight is a creation of Mr. Ron Worthy, an accomplished and skilled pianist that has started several different piano-related websites to teach piano over the internet, including MrRonsMusic.com, PlayPianoAndReadMusic.com, and of course PlayPianoTonight.com.
The main component of the course is an eBook that combines different multimedia elements to enlighten and inform students of the wonders of the keyboard.
Now if you went by the name of this piano course, you might think that Play Piano Tonight is a beginners piano course, and indeed, it is advertised as such.
We found this to be a huge mistake, as beginning pianists will be extremely disappointed with the material provided in this course. Mr. Ron Worthy is an excellent musician, but having said that, it’s quite possible he’s forgotten what it’s like to be a new pianist.
Play Piano Tonight provides you:
- 36 Chapter Multimedia eBook, covering:
- Chords – major, minor, dominant 7th.
- Lead sheets and backing for a variety of pieces.
- Introductions to progressions, chord-building and the modes.
- E-mail and telephone support and guidance directly from the maker.
- Video instruction tips.
- Instrumental backing tracks.
- Lifetime membership to digital sheet music lessons.
- Free access to music resources and online music dictionary.
- Free karaoke piano download.
The Good Point
Well, Play Piano Tonight by Ron Worthy is very simple to navigate, seeing as how it is only on one page. There is definitely quite a bit of information included in the “e-book.”There are may diagrams included, which are definitely a much need feature to understand a lot of what is said. There is a bonus karaoke software package included.
The Bad Point
The negatives of this are a little overwhelming when compared to the positive aspects. First thing noticed is that the claim of giving you a “36 chapter e-book” is false. It is actually one page, the member’s page. From the start the information is too technical for a beginner. There is not much of an intro or explanation of what will be going on, it just jumps straight into technical information.
The Play Piano Tonight personal touch stresses the importance of repetition in the learning process. For example, the first lesson is to listen to a metronome and try to play a single note in rhythm over 20 times. Following this plan, you will certainly learn how to play the piano, or at least one note on the piano, tonight. But for already experienced piano players, a few lessons from the Play Piano Tonight e-book might just improve your playing experience.
